Li notably underwent eight weeks of training with Breeze and Spears at Flatbacks Wrestling School last year, while she wasn’t being used on NXT TV. Breeze and Fandango debut in AEW as Adam Coleman and Kenny Alpha or Mike and Nate Jameson and just harass the elite. There he saw middling success, but his partnership with Fandango - known as Breezango - became a fan favorite act and is still fondly remembered today.
